Biografía Lara Croft

Lady Lara Croft is an 11th generation Countess. The Croft family was granted the title and rights to Abbingdon, Surrey by King Edward VI in 1547. The Croft Estates are comprised of three separate manor houses, two of which are maintained by the National Trust, and the third is home to Lady Croft.

 

Lady Croft herself has suffered several personal tragedies, including the deaths of both parents on separate occasions before she came of age. Reputably an accredited genius and Olympic-standard gymnast, Lady Croft is the focus of wild speculation and intense debate in both the scientific and political communities in addition to the popular press. Idealized and vilified in equal measure, she is perhaps one of the most fascinating and enigmatic figures of our time.

 

Lara Croft was born in Surrey's Parkside hospital to Lady Amelia Croft and the notorious archeologist Lord Richard Croft, the late Earl of Abbingdon. Between the ages of three and six, she attended the Abbingdon Girls School, where it quickly became clear that she was an exceptionally gifted child.

 

At the age of nine she survived a plane crash in the Himalayas that took the life of her mother. In perhaps the first story of her prodigious indomitability, she somehow survived a solo ten-day trek across the Himalayan mountains, one of the most hostile environments on the planet. The story goes that when she arrived in Katmandu she went to the nearest bar and made a polite telephone call to her father asking if it would be convenient for him to come and pick her up.

 

For six years following the plane crash, Lara rarely left her father's side, traveling around the world from one archeological dig site to another. During this period she was ostensibly given a standard education from private tutors, but it would probably be more accurate to say she was her father's full time apprentice.

 

When Lara was fifteen, her father went missing in Cambodia. Extensive searches by the authorities and Lara herself turned up human remains that could not definitively be identified. Since Lord Croft's body was not officially recovered, Lara could not directly inherit the Croft title and Lara was thrust into a bitter family feud over control of the Abbingdon estates with her uncle Lord Errol Croft. Lara eventually won the legal battle, and took possession of her inheritance but at the cost of a deep rift in the Croft family that left her estranged from her living relatives.

 

Lady Lara Croft has already eclipsed her father's career; as of this writing she is credited with the discovery of some fifteen archeological sites of international significance. These sites are still yielding new and exciting insights to the past on an ongoing basis. No one can deny Lady Croft's incredible contribution to the field of archeology, however she is not without her detractors.

 

Lara's methods have been frequently called into question by government officials and other practicing archeologists. She has been described variously as anything from cavalier to downright irresponsible. Some scholars have suggested that her notorious lack of documentation and brute force methodology have contaminated countless sites and done more harm than good. There have even been (unsubstantiated) allegations that Lara actually takes items from these sites before informing the international community of their locations, and that she is nothing more than a glorified treasure hunter.

 

Despite the tabloid press's infatuation with her, Lara Croft guards her privacy with complete determination. She has never granted an interview nor made any personal comment to any of the rumors associated with her, preferring to express herself through brief formal statements given by the family solicitors, Hardgraves and Moore.

 

Predictably there have been a number of unofficial biographies printed about the young Countess, that attribute wild and fantastic feats to her exploits, ranging from the discovery of living dinosaurs in the Congo to infiltrating the infamous Area 51 in Nevada. The official line from the Croft Estate to these works is simply that "...these books are utter rot: disgraceful, trashy works of total fiction."

 

Nevertheless if you even make a cursory search on the Internet for the Unexplained, the Mysterious and the Downright Unbelievable, time and again you will find Lara Croft's name appearing. She appears to be a hero to conspiracy theorists and alternate history aficionados alike.

 

It seems the further you dig into Lady Croft's life, the more bewildering and mysterious she becomes. Perhaps like the archeological sites she discovers, we have only scratched the surface of this incredible woman and the complex and inscrutable secrets buried deep within her.

Pues a Toby Gard se le ocurrió poner dinosaurios en Tomb Raider I. No sé, estos tipos están locos. La propia Lara tenía un artículo de su busqueda por Pie Grande y el juego es de Toby Gard. ¿Qué se traen entre manos con esta nueva biografía? ¿Dónde está Von Croy?

 

No sé, mientras más leo esta biografía, más ridícula se me hace la vida de Lara.

Lara sí ha estado en tales lugares, pero yo creo que quiere decir que no hace "oficial" la estancia en esos sitios (me refiero a que ella misma no lo reconoce), de ahi que la biografía oficial no lo reconozca pero aquellas no oficiales si lo comenten. Debemos mirar la biografia como si Lara fuera otro personaje real más, no como la invención de sus creadores. En eso consiste.

LO QUE SUCEDE ES QUE ESTA BIOGRAFIA FUE RE-REALIZADA PARA EL LANZAMIENTO DE LEGEND, Y COMO SE CAMBIO DE EMPRESA (DE EIDOS A CRYSTAL DYNAMICS) LOS PROGRAMADORES DECIDIERON QUE LA VIDA DE LARA; O EN ESTE CASO, LOS PRIMEROS TITULOS, NO SE VAN A TOMAR EN CUENTA COMO PARTE DE LA SERIE TOMB RAIDER; POR LO TANTO, LA SERIE ABARCA SOLO DESDE THE LAST REVELATION; (NO ME PREGUNTEN POR QUE??? LO LEI EN UNA REVISTA), DESDE LUEGO ES UNA TONTERIA DE LOCOS, PERO CREO QUE ESA ES LA RAZON DEL CAMBIO EN EL PASADO DE LARA.---------------AUNQUE DEBO AGREGAR QUE SU PASADO NO IMPORTA.........LA QUIERO A PESAR DE TODO¡¡¡¡¡¡................AUN ASI FUE UNA TONTERIA.

En realidad han descartado la historia de Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation. Fijate que Von Croy ya no existe en la biografía. El padre de Lara es el que se pierde en Camboya cuando ella tiene 15 años y no Werner. El padre es el mentor de ella y no Werner. Y si aplicamos esto a los posteriores Tomb Raider, pues obtenemos la eliminación de los anteriores Tomb Raider.

Pero bueno, con alguna biografía habrán de quedarse, ¿no? No se puede cambiar el pasado de Lara con cada TR que sale ¬¬ es indignante :mad:

La biografía va acorde al nuevo Tomb Raider, pero me pareció más ridículo que digan que Lara estuvo en el Area 51 cuando en ese entonces tenía toda esa biografía. Creo que podrían haberse ahorrado detalles. Digamos que estoy desorientado. En fin, lo más conveniente es seguir lo que dicen los juegos. Si el accidente de Lara en el juego nunca se explicó, entonces es conveniente seguir los datos del último juego. El juego no explica lo de Camboya, así que será menos confuso. No sé... está todo muuuuy liado.

Pues yo me voy por mis ramales, la biografía oficial dirá todo eso, pero para mi Lara si fue al area 51 y si luchó contra dinosaurios y monstruos peores, y alla estos autores y sus ansias de hacer a Lara "un personaje más atractivo para todos".

 

Si eliminan esos datos por que creen que suena a bobadas o demasiado fantasiosos, pues que se curren para pintarlo en condiciones, Jurasicc Park no pintó a los dinosaurios en vista a los niños... ¿por que no le dan el mismo aire al TR? y conociendo a los chicos de hoy, le gustará más y todo.

 

Y en general, para mi lo que haré sera combinar las dos, y no me va tan mal, el padre era arqueologo Lara le interesaba la arqueologia (y por lo de la madre más todavia) pero cuando conoció a Werner, entonces decidió emprender una arqueología más arriesgada. ¿que el padre tambien murió en Camboya? anda que casualidad, se perdió en el mismo sitio que Von Croy O.O

Lara siguió sus aventuras escribió sus libros, siguió sus estudios, y posee sus 3 mansiones, la de Surrey, la de la peli y una 3º que esta desaparecida, lo único que no logro darle sentido es a WINSTON...

 

Tanto encerrarlo en el frigorífico, hizo que él desarrollara una personalidad fria y sarcástica, y que le creciera pelo, pero me parece muy bodrio de telenovela XD, no sé que hacer con Winston.

 

Pero el resto, la oficial es la oficial, pero yo me hago mis adaptaciones, pasaré de tantos mareos que tienen los productores y seguiré amando a Larita tambien, (ya llegará algún día que cesen todos estos embrollos biográficos)

Analizemos bien (), porque la vida de Lara es un mar de desdichas. Pierde a su padre en Camboya a los 15 años, luego a los 16 años decide volver al mismo lugar con Werner, esta vez a buscar el Iris (:blink:) y esta vez se le pierde Werner. (:blink: :blink:) Anteriormente, la pobre sufrió un accidente de avión en el Himalayas a los nueve años junto con su madre. Pero a los 21 años, de valiente que es se vuelve a ir de viaje con los compañeros de universidad y se estrella nuevamente en el Himalayas. Lo más gracioso es que en el accidente de los nueve años de edad, Lara se perdió en el Himalayas, luego llegó a un bar de algún pueblucho y llamó a su padre preguntandole si ya la podía venir a buscar. Luego a la pobre la desheredaron los padres, no conforme con eso la desheredaron los parientes. No querían verla ni en figuritas, pero cuando presuntamente murió estaban todos presentes. Lara metió tanto tiempo a Winston en el refrigerador que éste aprendio las técnicas de cirugía estética. Se implemento un poco de carne de res para realzar esa espalda y se puso un poco de pelo que había por ahí de los pollos para dejarlo crecer. Luego de que Lara se acordara de sacarlo del refrigerador, Winston le agradeció esa terapia de por vida. Posteriormente, Lara se mortifica porque no quiere perder a más amigos, pero tal vez debería usar la psicología inversa, porque mientras más dice eso, más amigos pierde. A causa de estas perdidas, Lara decide entrar al mundo de lo paranormal, donde se comunica con su madre del pasado y posteriormente con su padre del pasado.

 

¡Caray! Ahora que lo pienso, es una historia más que interesante. :unsure:
