Guinness World Record's Gamer's Edition will be attempting the 'Largest gathering of Games characters' on March 18, 10.30 for 11am at the Millenium Bridge, London and are looking for all cos players and gamers to come down and make Guinness World Record history.

 

Think you could be Lara Croft (Tomb Raider), King of All Cosmos (Katamari Damacy), Master Chief (Halo) Dante (Devil May Cry) or Gabe Logan (Syphon Filter) then we want to see you there! Anime or Manga to World of Warcraft whatever you are in to get dressed up and help break a record. To register please e-mail gamesgathering@guinnessworldrecords.com

 

All characters will appear in the Guinness World Record Gamers Edition 2009 plus on the website as well as receiving a gift for their efforts! The record attempt celebrates the inaugral Guinness World Record Gamer’s Edition that is on sale now and is bursting with new records, high score statistics and fascinating facts.

 

In addition Guinness World Records are also searching for the next new gaming record breaker to join the hallowed ranks of the book. Applicants are being encouraged to upload their scores on the Gamer's Edition website, to enter the challenge.

La edición de récords mundiales Guinness sobre juegos, tratará de reunir a la mayor cantidad de personajes de éstos, durante Marzo 18 de 10 30 a 11 am en el Millenium Bridge, Londres. Se buscan a todos los cos players y fanátcos de juegos a ir y hacer un histórico record guinness.

Sonic the Hedgehog, Yoshi, Lara Croft, Detective Gumshoe and Vincent Valentine were among the eighty character's breaking the "Largest Gathering of Games Characters" Guinness World Record on the Millennium Bridge, London on Tuesday 18 March.

 

Dedicated "cos-players" and gamers donned their best costumes to earn a place in the Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition 2009 and make Guinness World Record history.

 

Thirty children from Argyle Primary School, Kings Cross dressed up Super Mario, one mini Mario said "I have had a great day, I have met all my favourite characters - the best one is Tails from Sonic."

 

The record attempt celebrates the inaugural Guinness World Record Gamer's Edition 2008 that is on sale now and is bursting with new records, high score statistics and fascinating facts.

 

Guinness World Records is the universally recognized authority on record-breaking achievement. First published in 1955, the annual Guinness World Records book is published in more than 100 countries and 20 languages and is one of the highest-selling books under copyright of all time with more than 3 million copies sold annually across the globe.

* El récord ha entrado en la edición sobre videojuegos de los Guiness.

 

Un numeroso grupo de aficionados ha creado en Reino Unido el récord Guiness de mayor número de personas disfrazadas de personajes de videojuegos, según informan en GameSpot.

 

 

El récord, que no existía hasta el momento, ha sido añadido a la lista de la edición especial de videojuegos de los récord Guiness, el Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition.

 

Decenas de personas disfrazadas, incluidos varios redactores de la citada GameSpot, se reunieron en el Millenium Bridge de Londres dsifrazadas de principiantes y veteranos personajes del mundo de los videojuegos, desde los típicos Mario, Sonic y héroes de Final Fantasy hasta el protagonista de Boogie.

 

El hecho de que el récord no existiera previamente explica que la convocatoria no fuese masiva, tan sólo 80 personas hicieron falta para imponer la marca que a partir de ahora cualquiera podrá intentar superar.
